TONE Health FOR REFERRING PHYSICIANS Español

Clinical nutrition, as a team

Your patient actually follows the plan. And you never lose sight of them.

Nutrition support for the metabolic patient (weight management, prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, fatty liver and GLP-1 support), with a clinical report back to you after every visit. You refer, I accompany, and every referral comes back to you: the patient always remains yours.

Refer a patient
Independent nutrition service. We are nutrition specialists and we have a certified diabetes educator on the team. Years of experience working with the region's medical community.

Why refer to us

Three things that work for you, not just for the patient

You stay in control

For every patient, you get a report back: what I found, what I indicated and why. You keep the full picture and continue making the clinical decisions.

Your treatment works

Interactive digital tools and self-care education, the foundation of the metabolic patient. That translates into real adherence and results you see reflected in your own follow-up.

A second pair of eyes

I share any findings that merit your evaluation, detected during the nutrition consultation. I never keep the patient: I return them to you better, and with information.

What you receive

A clinical report, not a "sent them a diet"

After every consultation you receive a clear, actionable summary. This is a real example of the format (fictional patient to protect confidentiality):

Report to the referring physicianTONE Health · Clinical nutrition
Visit 1
Patient: R. N. (male, 61 y/o)
Context: Cardiometabolic syndrome
Referred by: Treating physician

Assessment summary

BMI 36 (class II obesity), waist 122 cm (waist-to-height ratio 0.71, very high risk). Fasting glucose 118 mg/dL, total cholesterol 235 / HDL 39 (atherogenic index 6.0). Diet high in refined grains, low in vegetables; no prior portion quantification.

Nutrition plan indicated

1,980 kcal/day, Mediterranean/DASH pattern. Protein 1.0–1.2 g/kg (conditional on renal function). Sodium <2000 mg, zero added sugar, gradual fiber increase. Structured in 5 meals respecting the patient's actual work schedule.

Findings shared for your evaluation

SpO₂ 92% at rest without apparent cause. I suggest ruling out sleep apnea.
Referred as diabetes, but glucose of 118 without treatment corresponds to prediabetes. I suggest confirming with HbA1c before labeling.
BP 138/86 with no antihypertensive treatment at the time of consultation.
Atherogenic dyslipidemia with no pharmacological treatment.

Material delivered to the patient (same day, to their WhatsApp)

Interactive plan, self-care guide, personalized grocery list and a guide for their family.

Next follow-up in 2 weeks, with whatever labs you indicate. You remain in charge of the case; I'm at your service for any questions.

This is how clearly you would receive the follow-up on your patients, after every visit.

Frequently asked by colleagues

What your patient will ask you

Does the patient receive a formal meal plan?

Yes. Every patient leaves with a complete, personalized meal plan: calories, meal distribution and schedules adapted to their real life. It's delivered in an interactive format that opens on their phone, and you receive a copy of everything the same day.

How much does it cost and how long is the visit?

$30 USD online and $60 USD in person, first visit or follow-up. The first consultation lasts 60 minutes and includes the full assessment, the plan and the patient's material, plus the clinical report for you. For patients who need structured accompaniment, there are also two 12-week programs at $249 USD: GLP-1 nutrition support and diabetes self-care education, both with a report to you after every visit. Patients pay directly; no insurance involved.

Is the consultation in person or online?

Whichever the patient prefers. In person at Plaza Tharmac, Av. Diego Rivera 2563, Zona Urbana Río, Tijuana (Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00, Saturday 9:00–13:00, about 15–25 minutes from the San Ysidro crossing), or online by video call. Consultations are available fully in English, fully in Spanish, or mixed.

How do I refer a patient?

No paperwork: share their contact with me on WhatsApp, or give my number to the patient. They book through whichever channel they prefer and I take care of the rest. If they have recent labs, they just bring them to the visit.

Does referring cost me anything or commit me to anything?

No. No agreements, no exclusivity, no cost to you. The only commitment is mine: to return your patient to you with information, and to keep you informed after every visit.

Have a patient who would benefit?

Send them with confidence, or message me directly for anything you need. We work as a team, and you always stay informed.
